Cotham Gardens’s story
Back in 2024, an amazing group of Cotham Gardens runners raised £2,500 for the school... and they're doing it again in 2026! The AJ Bell Great Bristol Run 2026 is on the 9th and 10th of May, and we've got a group of Cotham Gardens staff (including Ms Smith and Miss Bayat) and friends already signed up.
Sadly the adult events (10k and Half Marathon) are already sold out... but if you're a younger athlete both mini runners (aged 3-8, 1.5k dash)and junior runners (aged 9-15, 2.5k sprint) are still taking new sign-ups.
So, whether you're competing yourselves or just want to support our keen runners, the Cotham Gardens PTAF are helping coordinate fundraising efforts via this, our Wonderful donation page. Just click on the donate button and - if you can - let us know who you're supporting when you do...
COMPETING FOR COMPUTING
The Cotham Gardens PTAF will put all money raised from this sponsorship towards our next big fundraising target... new Chromebooks for the school.
DETAILS ON THE EVENTS THEMSELVES
You don't have to be a runner right now. There is plenty of time. Last time one parent hadn't run for 5 years but started the Couch to 5k app and with the support of other parents built up gradually to run the 10k. As well as improving fitness, running is a great help for mental health.
