Tom’s story

We’re raising money for NGNPUK on behalf of Tom Boyle.
Tom was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 2015, and after making a good go of various treatments over the years, his treatment was stopped earlier this year.
Over the last few weeks, we have come to depend on our local NHS District Nurses and realised just how important they are for patients receiving palliative care. Their common sense and compassion have ensured that Tom has received the very best care whilst staying at home.
As we cannot fundraise for the nurses directly, they suggested that we raise funds for NGNPUK, the charity which provided both of the syringe drivers that Tom was given to help with administering his medications 24 hours a day.
One syringe driver costs about £1500. We would like to raise enough money to replace at least one of these vital tools for our District Nurses, who so brilliantly provide palliative care for people like dad.

Update 01.05.2023…
Found out today that the donations in dad’s name have raised enough money for 5 syringe drivers which is just amazing.
