Selina and Joolz’s story
On October the 3rd Joolz and Selina will take to the potholed roads of Britain, with over a 100 other Triumph enthusiast to complete the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run. This historic rally has taken place since 1966 raising funds for many charities over its lifetime. This year we raise money for Parkinsons UK. We will be leaving Knebworth House around 6pm Friday 3 October, travelling north to John O'Groats for breakfast. We will then be turning south, via Wales, to Lands End and finishing back at Knebworth House, on the evening of Sunday 5 October. Covering nearly 2000 miles in 48 hours.
Our Triumph GT6 Gertrude AKA ‘Dirty Gerty” is from 1974 and has received a full nut and bolt rebuild this year. Having spent many weekend and evenings in the garage, countless favours from friends and family for help and support we hope Gerty will get us home safely. She has truly become a joint project, not just for us but for all those around us too! We can not thank everyone enough for the help we have already received.
We are hoping for a spectacular weekend of motoring adventures featuring great cars- all of which are over 40 years old, meeting like minded people, the stunning scenery of the M6 and all the snacks. Any money raised will be greatly appreciated as we get to see first hand the benefits of research, education and support this charity provides.
