On the 22nd of May I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon for SkyWay Charity to raise funds for disadvantaged children in Hackney and Southwark. SkyWay supports children, their families and the local community through their youth provisions where youth workers provide career support and guidance, homework clubs, one-to-one support and opportunities for mentoring, goal setting workshops, money management workshops, creative workshops: singing, dance, music production, podcasting and more.
SkyWay isn't about hand holding, it's about harnessing and building real resilience in people and their communities so they can feel proud they have achieved something and developed self-belief.

With only 2 day to go until the day of the race anything you can put towards me hitting the £200 fundraising target would mean the world. All donations will go towards supporting vulnerable young people in Hackney and their community in building a better future for themselves.

El 22 de mayo correré el media maratón del barrio Hackney para recaudar fondos para SkyWay Charity. SkyWay es una caridad que apoya a los jóvenes con desventajas en los barrios de Hackney y Southwark. SkyWay apoya a los jovenes, sus familias y la comunidad local a través de sus provisiones juveniles donde los trabajadores brindan apoyo y orientación profesional, ofrecen clubes de tareas extracurriculares, apoyo individual, oportunidades para ser mentoreado, sesiones de establecimiento de metas, sesiones de administración de dinero, sesiones creativas: canto, danza, producción musical, podcasting y más.
SkyWay no trata de tomar a los jóvenes de la mano si no de desarrollar su resiliencia y la de las comunidades en las que viven para que puedan sentirse orgullosos de haber logrado algo y desarrollen confianza en sí mismos.
