Carl’s story
Welcome to Team Mangos Atlast. We are Leighton, Roger, Jason, Nigel, and Carl running a two car entry. Thought we would try something a bit different this time. We will be using Leighton’s bright orange 1972 MkII 2500 estate powered by a Stag 3litre V8 (think ‘Bad to the Bone’) and Roger’s 1958 Standard Atlas pick-up (think Laurel and Hardy theme tune). Roger is rebuilding the Atlas specifically for the RBRR including the fitting of a Dolly 1500 engine to enhance the already legendary performance. To get round ‘comfortably’ within the time, we will need to keep the Atlas moving as much as possible with fresh crew provided from the back seat of the estate as required. It’s 2000 miles in 48hrs. Anything could happen and probably will but it’s for a great cause. Hit that donate button and invest in the madness ! Thanks in advance from all of us 😊
