Tom’s story
Ricardo teams around the world are taking part in a virtual cycling challenge. Here in Shoreham we will race the width of Madagascar on smart bikes to raise money for Hoveraid.
Hoveraid is a UK based charity who design, build and operate hovercraft to provide humanitarian aid to remote communities where conventional land or water vehicles cannot operate. Hoveraid have been operating since 2006, providing crucial access to medical supplies and doctors to people who cannot usually be reached.
The event is open to all employees at STC to participate, with as many participants as possible cycling a 15 minute full-paced session which will be totaled between 2 bikes to race the width of Madagascar.
Donations will go to Hoveraid and will be used to build and ship their next hovercraft, the River Rover Mark 4B, to Madagascar.
Note, wonderful.org donation pages must be linked to an individual hence you may see 'Tom's' name appear on this page as he created it. To confirm, this is the official donation page for the cycling charity event on 23 May at STC.
