Jennifer’s story
At Hunter's Bar Infant School the school garden needs some love. We want to give it a face lift so that children can use it more easily, and more often. Learning outside is a great thing to do, plus we love it when we plant seeds, watch them grow and learn all about how to look after them. As a Hunter's Bar Infant School Home & School Association we're aiming to raise £2000 for the garden. The children of Bumblebees class in Y2 are challenging themselves to some super-tastic superhero activities. For example:
Jack is going to be making his bed and and helping his parents empty the dishwasher
Yasemin is going to be helping her little sister brush her teeth for a week
Isla is going to get herself ready for school in the morning, make her bed, read a book and scoot to school (twice a week) for a fortnight - gosh what a challenge Isla!
Evelyn is going to be making her bed for a week - even though it's on the top bunk and that's really tricky
Sam is going to make his bed and his mum and dad's bed and get ready for school in time to practice football in the garden before school.
We love to challenge ourselves in Bumblebees!
If you could spare a donation in sponsorship to help us reach our Bumblebees target of £300 the children would be very grateful!
