I'm proud to be Chair of Trustees to this amazing charity.
My nightline journey started many years ago when I was an undergraduate in Hull and I volunteered to be on the helpline there. Many things have changed since then, but going to university is still the most amazing opportunity, full of challenge and discovery. But it can also bring difficulties. And in these uncertain times, with the emerging impact of the lockdown and the cost of living crisis, the pressures on student mental health feel more pressing now than ever.
London Nighltine is a peer to peer, night-time listening and information service for students at university across London. Last year, over 100 students volunteered their time and energy to support over 3000 people who reached out to us via phone, email, web and text.
The last two years have been a particularly tough time for small charities, even ones you think might be in more demand than ever. Your donation will help London Nightline to continue its crucial work, being there at night for students seeking help when many other services are closed.
