Alec’s story
Pegasus Playscheme , is a charity that gives local children / young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) the opportunity to socialise and participate in a series of fun and engaging activities with their friends.
For a lot of these children / young people, being able to socialise with friends is incredibly challenging for 2 main reasons. Firstly, a lot of these young people require adult supervision meaning that they cannot randomly hang out with their friends whenever they choose. Secondly, both Dave and myself have met many young people whose physical capabilities are restricted by their SEND and the consequences that come with them.
Having been involved with Pegasus for 10 years, I have been able to see first hand the massive impact Pegasus has on the lives of young people and their families local to our community. This charity really does make a difference!!!
