Katie & Tim’s story
This year our church Breathe New Life is raising money to support Father’s Heart Mobility Ministry which is situated in Uganda and provides people who have a mobility impairment with a wheelchair.
To date Father’s Heart has provided 18,000 people in Uganda with a wheelchair. Each wheelchair costs around £100 and as a church we would like to raise enough money to by 100 wheelchairs.
As part of a team, Tim and I will be rowing/riding the accumulative distance of 240km which is the width of Lake Victoria in Uganda which is Africa’s largest freshwater lake.
The fundraising event takes place on Saturday 4th March 2023. Tim and I are sharing 15 minutes on the rowing machine (we are newbies to rowing) and then we are doing 15 minutes each on the exercise bike.
