Tansy’s story
On the 11th of October, I'll be taking part in Cabaret Vs Cancer's Firewalk event! Along with a group of other fundraisers, I'll be hot-stepping it across a 6-metre path of embers. And it's all for a wonderful cause.
Cabaret Vs Cancer is an incredible organisation that puts on a whole host of spectacular shows and events to raise money for cancer support charities across the UK. Over the years, they've raised funds for St Joseph's Hospice, The Loss Foundation, Cancer is a Drag, and many more.
After losing my beautiful mum, Sharon, to ovarian cancer three years ago, I know just how devastating and heartbreaking cancer can be. Mum was always dancing barefoot (allbeit on grass, rather than hot coals!) so I'll be making my way across that walkway with her in my heart.
