James’s story
I bought my TR7 V8 in 2022 at the age of 19 as a lifelong project. Now a couple of years in and many miles down I have decided to set myself the challenge of completing the Round Britain Reliability Run later this year. This is the perfect way to find out what is still wrong with my car, I know it is fast and drives well having tested it to its limits on the Isle of Man last year, so now I need to see if it makes a good motorhome. I'm guessing not!
We set off from Knebworth House in Hertfordshire on the evening of Friday 3rd October 2025, we will be returning back to Knebworth via John O'Groats and Lands End. Roughly 2000 miles in 48 hours with only two drivers and a 48 year old Triumph TR7 with a thirsty V8 engine, where's the challenge in that?
This year's chosen charity is Parkinson's UK.
