Naveed’s story
Please support A.I.D. 4 SUDAN - the boys team from MY Oxford Class A.
May Alllah Azwajal reward them (and everyone who has supported them) for all their efforts! Ameen.
And may Allah Azwajal also reward you for all your generous donations, Ameen.
Please read below about the two charities the boys are passionately raising money for, Islamic Relief's Sudan Appeal and Saarah's Fund Incubator Appeal.
The total donation amount will be split equally between the two charities.
Islamic Relief's Sudan Appeal:
With the war spreading across Sudan, it is now the largest displacement crisis on earth. The armed conflict has displaced an estimated 15 million people, 53% of whom are children. Many are living in temporary camps where conditions are abysmal.
Famine is spreading fast across Sudan and desperate families face a daily struggle to get food as young children starve to death in cities, villages and displacement camps
Around 28,700 people are estimated to have been killed, but the real death toll is likely to be much higher as fatalities are believed to be underreported. The death toll from hunger, disease and lack of basic services could rise far higher.
Sudan is now one of the most dangerous and difficult places to deliver humanitarian aid, with dozens of aid workers killed, offices looted and regular bureaucratic obstruction.
Despite the challenges Islamic Relief has delivered vital aid to more than 2 million people all over the country. But much more is needed as the violence spreads. Islamic Relief has worked in Sudan for over 40 years, and remains by the sides of families caught up in the violence. Please support our life-saving work and donate now.
Saarah's Fund Incubator Appeal:
Every hour, a baby dies in Sudan due to inadequate healthcare facilities.
It’s a heartbreaking reality — but together, we can change it.
With just £20, you can help save a baby’s life.
Saarah’s Fund is launching a campaign to provide 50 low-cost incubators to hospitals across Sudan — enough to help save 1,200 newborns during the next 12 months.
Working in partnership with the Sudanese American Physicians Association, Embrace Global has already delivered 300 incubators, including 20 funded by Saarah’s Fund. But the need remains urgent — a further 600 incubators are still required.
Each incubator costs around £400 and is expected to save at least 24 babies in the next year — that’s less than £20 to save a life.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
Your donation is Zakat eligible.
Please donate today — together, we can give hope and save lives.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and support.
