Donna’s story
Hey! 👋
So, Matt (aka Berty) was a pool teammate of mine in the Croydon Pool League many moons ago. He was always the shining light of every pool night and beyond; always a smile, always had some story or comment that would make you laugh!
Unfortunately, behind that smile was a man who struggled with chronic anxiety and panic attacks, but hid it too well. Matt was always looking for ways to help assist him with the dark times and had done amazingly well until one day, it managed to overcome him and he sadly on June 12th 2013, he took his own life.
The Matt Palmer Trust was created by Matt’s family and friends to help other people to hopefully not suffer the way our Berty did.
So if anyone can spare a few pounds to aid the magnificent work this organisation does, I would be forever grateful. Thank you so much for reading 🙂
