Movement Challenge & Delamere Forest Activity

In the month of November Oxbury Bank Colleagues will be out in force again to complete a Charity Movement Challenge and optional Delamere Forest Activity in aid of the Country Trust, Oxbury’s chosen charity of the year.

The Country Trust is the UK’s leading national educational charity which works to connect children from areas of high social and economic disadvantage with the land that sustains us all. Oxbury recognises that supporting the younger generation to gain knowledge and experience will support the long-term outlook of the agricultural industry. From 1st – 30th November colleagues will be getting active and tracking their movement aiming to reach collective goal of 23,700 kilometres of distance covered. As, in 2023-2024, the Country Trust enabled 23,700 children to attend farm visits, something many of these children have never been on before. This target aims to demonstrate the impact the Country trust has on children all over the country.

An activity challenge at Delamere Forest will take place at 10am on 30th November. The movement from this optional event will count towards the overall tracking. A suggested route will be given with an opportunity to catch up with colleagues post adventure in a local pub.

In order to raise money for The Country Trust, we are asking each participant to fundraise or donate a minimum of £26. It costs the Country Trust £26 per child to do a farm visit so each donation of this amount will ensure one child is able to attend. Oxbury will be encouraging the group by hosting a raffle where each £26 donation is a ticket to be entered into the draw.
