Renay’s story
In November 2017 my beloved mummy was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which had spread to her spine. I had a 6 month old baby at the time and was working as a carer. I spent every second I could with my mum to try and fight this awful disease. Neither of us wished to know the prognosis. Very sadly, it was to be very short and I lost her in February 2018. On the occasions where I couldn’t be by her bedside, an Anne Robson Trust volunteer would sit by her bedside and provide my mum with some company, just the presence of another soul.
I thought that this was such a wonderful and selfless act, and always seek to give back to the charity who supported me so much during those dark days.
In 2021 I raised £610 running 10km on Christmas Day. This year I intend to do the same… but 5 months pregnant. I would LOVE to push for £800 and would be beyond grateful if you could support me to achieve this goal.
