Peter’s story
The Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run is held every 2 years in the first weekend of October. The event has been in existence since 1966 and has raised an impressive £900,000 for various well deserving charities over the years. This year’s chosen charity is Parkinson's UK, with all proceeds raised going to this very worthy cause. All donations will be gratefully received. Please support us by contributing to this commendable charity and help us make a significant difference. Thank you for visiting our fundraising Page.
The challenge for Team Harper, along with another 100 Triumph cars will be to drive from Knebworth, North to St John O’Groats, back through Scotland and then via Wales down to Lands End before heading back to Knebworth. In total covering 2000 miles in just 48 hours.
This is my third time of taking up the challenge in my 44 year old Triumph TR7, however, this time there are two significant differences. Firstly, over the past winter I completed an engine strip and rebuild that included a “Sprint” conversion. Secondly I normally do the challenge with my daughter Esme, but this year she will be 8 months pregnant at the time of the event and has reluctantly agreed to give up her seat and sit this one out. So in her place my wife Cathy has stepped up, what could possibly go wrong??!!
Thanks again for look at our fundraising page.
