Theo’s story
In May, myself and my friends Bjorn and Tom are lacing-up our trail shoes to take on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge 100km event. We're doing it for a charity that's very close to my heart - Pitt Hopkins UK. After a couple of years of our brave and beautiful son Forest being subjected to all sorts of testing, it was with both sadness but also relief that we finally learnt of his diagnosis, as it gave us clarity on how we can best support our wonderful boy. It also led us to Pitt Hopkins UK; the support and kindness they have already shown us has been beyond fantastic.
Due to the rareness of the condition, and lack of public awareness, the charity welcomes any and all fundraising – hence our decision to take part in an event for which we’re physically out of our depth! Hopefully it is brutal enough to be worthy of drawing some real attention and support for the charity. It will certainly not be just a walk in the (Jurassic) park!
We would be so grateful if you are able to sponsor us for the event and help us raise funds which will allow the charity to put on events for children with Pitt Hopkins, raise awareness and fund research.
Fundraising Targets
All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.
