Jack’s story
Hi All,
In September I will be taking part in the Farndon 10K run with Oxbury Bank. This 10K run is for the Country Trust. The Country Trust is a charity that operates all across the UK and has done since 1978. They have hundreds of volunteer farmers and landowners that welcome thousands of disadvantaged young children from all backgrounds and faiths onto their farms to share their passion for food, farming, and the countryside.
I think this is a great charity and cause as many of the young children that visit these farms may live in big crowded cities and may never be lucky enough to visit or experience what it is like to go to a farm and see the animals and day to day life of a farmer.
Along with supporting a great charity the personal reasons for me to take part in this run is to improve my physical health over the course of the summer, improve my mental health while running and getting outside regularly and challenge myself to run a distance I have not run before.
I would be grateful if you could sponsor me any amount you can afford and it would be going to a great cause.
