Marisa’s story
The team at 43 Clicks North are on the hike again. This time, we're determined to do at least two of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
We're prepped and leaving at dawn on the 12th September to take on the 24-mile trek through the Yorkshire Dales. We'll grapple, scramble, jump and scale across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and we're training to complete all three summits in under 12 hours.
We're tackling the climb for a very good, local cause: CatZero Humber. The work they do supports people of all ages (youth, families, and military veterans) overcome personal barriers and move into education, employment, or training, transforming countless lives across the region.
CatZero's unique way of working for the last 18 years, through confidence-building activities, tailored plans and by using the organisation’s 72-foot Challenge yacht as a tool for change, has helped hundreds of people overcome challenges on the path towards their goals.
The team at 43CN were recently lucky to have a four hour taster session on the CatZero yacht to experience first-hand some of the challenges their participants undertake. We all came away with new skills, better knot terminology, stories and a real sense of value and camaraderie.
