Alison’s story
This year Simon Thompson, our Treasurer, will be running the Manchester Marathon, and is doing so to raise vital funds so that we can keep supporting unpaid carers in Bolton. We're all struggling through the cost of living crisis, and those caring for family, friends or neighbours are no exception. It is vital that we continue to offer what support we can to carers during this time. However, with the funding charities receive often being fixed 2 or 3 years previously, and statutory health and social care services struggling to deliver, the demands on small charities are growing. Competition for funding is fierce and we depend on the generosity of those willing to take on a challenge, combined with the kind sponsorships and donations our supporters make, to continue delivering the high standard of service you are accustomed to, along with the broad range of support we offer.
