HBIS’s story
This event has been organised by the Hunter's Bar Infant School (HBIS) Home School Association to raise funds for the school and provide an activity for students, families and the local community of the School.
Based on the 'Little Urban Fox explores Endcliffe Park' book by local authors Helen Stokes and Catherine Herold, this story trail explores the landmarks and history of Endcliffe and Bingham Parks. It provides a great way to celebrate World Book Day! We hope we encourage you to get outdoors whilst reading, exploring and learning new facts about the local area! The authors will be attending HBIS on World Book Day (Thursday 3rd March) to launch the event, meet the children and discuss the book.
Funds raised will be used to update the library at Hunter's Bar Infant School so that a full class can fit into the space. This will enable pupils to use the library more regularly and instil their love of reading.
There are two ways to take part:
- Read, explore and craft pack: this pack includes a signed copy of the 'Little Urban Fox explores Endcliffe Park' book, a story trail map, activity sheet and character mask. (Suggested minimum donation £10 including a small donation to the library fundraiser)
- Explore and craft pack: this pack includes a story trail map, activity sheet and character mask. (Suggested minimum donation £2)
Packs ordered before World Book Day will be distributed in School. Multiple packs may be ordered if you have friends who want to join in the fun!
This event will run from 3rd to 13th March and will take place in Endcliffe and Bingham Parks and will probably take between 1 and 2 hours.
Important: Please include your child's initials and class name.
