Jane’s story
*Naomi is 16 and is mummy to *Cammy, now 16 months. *Naomi needs an urgent surgical procedure to remove enlarged warts from her vocal chords. These affect her quality of life by severly affecting her speech and now beginning to affect her breathing /blood pressure due to the narrowing of the top of her wind pipe. Unfortunately there will need to be several such surgical procedures due to the severity and number of these warts.
*Naomi is scheduled to have the first of these procedures at the beginning of next week. Due to this unusual procedure the nearest hospital that can offer this treatment is 170km away from our location, meaning costly transport, accommodation needs for an accompanying social worker, along with any medication. The actual cost of the surgical procedures are unknown at this stage, but, of course, these will add up.
