Edyta &Paul’s story
It's nearly 6 1/2 years ago since the death of Evie Johnston. Evie was only six months old when she passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents, Greg and Jill, after fighting a number of complex health problems.
Evie spent the majority of her life in hospital. After Evie’s death her family set up the charity Team Evie to continue her legacy.
In the six years since Evie’s passing, Team Evie with the help of many amazing supporters have raised over £500,000 which has been used to; fund medical equipment and provide training that has saved children’s lives, make time in hospital easier for sick children and reduce anxiety for families and to support bereaved parents in their time of need. Every penny donated to the registered charity goes towards helping sick children and their families who face similar challenges to those Evie faced in her all too short life.
On the weekend of the 22 April Edyta and Paul will be attempting to cycle the Coast to Coast ride from Whitehaven to Tynemouth to raise much needed funds for a very special charity.
We will be in a team of 15 local cycling enthusiast's, all at differing levels of cycling ability.
