Glasgow Buddhist Centre’s story
This month, Parami will step down as Chair of the Glasgow Buddhist Centre after two and a half years of giving freely of her time in the role. During those months, she continued working for our movement in many other significant ways, regularly travelling up and down the country to Adhisthana and sometimes internationally.
She was persuaded to step forward during a difficult period in the history of Triratna Glasgow, despite her many other aforementioned commitments, and has been both a steadying and an inspirational figure, encouraging us to place the Bodhicitta at the centre of our activities.
During her time as Chair she has led festivals, conducted Mitra ceremonies, represented us at Triratna, Interfaith and civic events and chaired innumerable Trustees’ meetings. And all without financial support.
We’d like to let her know how much we appreciate everything she’s done, for the Glasgow Buddhist Centre and for her native city of Glasgow as a whole. Please give generously, and feel free to share his page with friends and family, as you feel is appropriate.
Parami will be presented with the fruits of your giving at Padmasambhava Day on Sunday the 20th of September at our new Centre in Woodside Crescent.
Thank you, from the Trustees of the Glasgow Buddhist Centre.
