I’m raising funds to help pay for the 25% ME Group charity’s advocate. This is a very popular service provided by 25% ME Group.
A 25% ME Group advocate told me she helps with many differing issues people are facing from completing benefit forms, appeals, social work, care issues, housing matters. This can range from just advice to actually completing the form either with the person over phone or email, or completing on their behalf with details we have previously collated. This can be time consuming and extremely stressful for the individual in order to receive the correct rate of benefit required and that they should be entitled to. Some cases this does not happen and we have to submit reconsiderations, appeals etc.
I have to ensure that I am always keeping up to date with any changes in legislation and this is something that takes time and energy to ensure that I have the up to date policies etc so I do spend time researching and ensuring I know what I am dealing with. I have a vast knowledge of these types of issues having worked in this area for over 20 years.
