Heli's Charity Walk - Brecon Sponsored Walk

Hi!

I can’t believe that it has taken me this long before I’ll do my first sponsored challenge.

But I couldn’t say no, when my friend asked me to support the charity for which she has been working for so long.

It’s a small charity that supports those most vulnerable in Romania, who can’t have help from anywhere else. While Irene has been giving her time and resources to this charity, I have learned to really respect on what they do.

My goal is to collect money to support minimum of one widow to have warm home over this coming winter, that would cost about £200.

If you could support me with £1 to £5 towards my goal or any amount that you feel in your heart. That would mean a lot to me and will be life changing for those in need.

Below is more info, how your donation could help:

· Supporting 38 widows with monthly supplementary food parcels and a supply of winter wood or a heating allowance. Food parcels cost approx., £35 per month and a wood supply/heating allowance around £200 a year.

· 2 Educational Projects: supplying school bags (filled with stationery) at a cost of £25 per child, new shoes up to £20 each dependent on age of the child and a winter coat up to £27 again dependent on age

· Support of minors in 3 Children’s Homes – all funds received go towards, education, health & welfare, clothing etc.

· A Children’s Program and a Music School – running costs of £4000 per year cover utilities, equipment etc including musical instruments.

· Disabled children and adults – all financial help covers sanitary items, clothing, food etc.

· Poor families – supplementary food parcels as funds allow.
