Supporting AGS’s story

After suffering life changing injuries serving his country in Afghanistan, Martin Hewitt has dedicated himself to supporting and inspiring fellow veterans and members of the disabled community through the Adaptive Grand Slam (AGS) Foundation. We are extremely proud to be able to support his AGS Foundation once again and raise valuable funds to allow the Foundation to continue its amazing work.
Having previously teamed up together to run in 40 degrees heat in the Sahara desert for the MDS we are now looking to test ourselves at the other extreme where temperatures could easily fall below minus 40 degrees as we take on the highest peak in North America. Rising out of the Alaskan wilderness to a height of 6200m, Mt Denali (McKinley) presents a formidable technical challenge where each climber must personally carry all their own gear whilst avoiding the many crevasses and protecting themselves from the brutal cold.
With an expedition length of over 3 weeks this is undoubtedly our most dangerous and challenging expedition to date and one that will test us in so many ways. During a previous expedition on the mountain in 2024 members of the team suffered frost bite injuries forcing us to abandon the attempt and there is no guarantee that we will summit this time. However, working as a team with Martin, fellow veteran and double leg amputee Steve, Rochelle and Woody, we will do everything possible to give us the best chance possible to stand on the highest point on the continent.
We are especially grateful for any donation that you can give and 100% of any money donated will go to the AGS foundation. The AGS Foundation was founded and run by injured veterans and not a penny of what you donate will go towards their costs. Any money you give will help many other veterans like Steve achieve the amazing and inspire others to do the same.
