Thomas’s story
My name is Tom Chester and in November I will be travelling on a charity cycle ride with Ride25 through India into Nepal. We are raising funds for a charity called 1morechild and I am proud to be supporting their efforts in educating and empowering vulnerable children in Uganda.
I feel very privileged with my upbringing and education and feel a great duty to give back to help support the lives of children who are less privileged than myself providing them with the support and opportunities to build a life greater than they could have ever imagined.
By educating and empowering these young people I believe the potential positive impact that this can lead to is much bigger than the direct investment in them as these people, often as a result of their struggles, go on to do extraordinary things.
