Moor Time’s story
For the second year running, Moor Time families, staff, volunteers and supporters are taking to the Leeds Liverpool canal path to raise funds for our holiday club and Saturday club for young people with complex needs. This time, we're tackling the route from Saltaire to Leeds.
Moor Time works in the Ilkley and Keighley areas, providing fun and life-enhancing days for disabled young people with specialist staff on hand to support them, while their family carers enjoy some much-needed respite time. Our venue in Ilkley needs some building adaptations to make it fully accessible to all the young people who attend sessions there, so we are raising money to pay for this.
On Saturday 26th September 2026, we will be walking, jogging and wheeling along the wheelchair accessible canal path from Saltaire into the city. Everyone will be aiming to complete a distance that suits them, from a short hop to Shipley or Baildon, all the way up to the 14 mile hike to Leeds.
