Sam’s story
This year at Breathe New Life Church we are partnering with Father’s Heart Mobility Ministry which is situated in Uganda and provides people who have a mobility impairment with a wheelchair.
As part of a team, I will be rowing/riding the accumulative distance of 240km which is the width of Lake Victoria in Uganda which is Africa’s largest freshwater lake.
The fundraising event takes place on Saturday 4th March 2023. I will be doing 45 minutes on the rowing machine! Which will be challenging for me as I would not describe myself as fit by any means.
To date Father’s Heart has provided 18,000 people in Uganda with a wheelchair. Each wheelchair costs around £100 and as a church we would like to raise enough money to by 100 wheelchairs.
