Odette’s story

I am challenging myself by walking 9.5miles/15km from Skenfrith-Grosmont-Cross Ash to raise money for my amazing school!


I have never walked this far before and I know it’s going to be a challenge but I’m going to do my best!


Even my parents aren’t going to do the full 9.5 miles, as they are going to swap out half way!


I’m hoping to complete the whole thing and get an icecream at the end with my friends.


I will be taking plenty of water, my asthma pump and plenty of snacks! (Mum will have to carry the heavy bag!)

Cross Ash Primary School Parents Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA)

Cross Ash Primary School PTFA aims to enhance the education of the pupils in the school. We encourage and help develop relationships between the school, parents and the wider community. The money we raise through holding events and activities is used to purchase equipment and improve resources throughout the school.

Official event

Three Castles Walk 2025

Come and take part in this wonderful fun family event, now in its 4th year. This year, we are raising money to enrich the school's curriculum, by enabling children to take part in activities and off-site visits that would not usually be able to happen without this extra support.


We hope to encourage everyone to get involved as there are 5 different routes to choose from to suit all abilities, with a choice to join a 'led' group, or walk independently. Choose from:


1. Whitecastle to Grosmont to Skenfrith to Whitecastle (19 miles)


2. Skenfrith to Grosmont to Cross Ash (9.5 miles)


3. Whitecastle to Cross Ash (5 miles)


4. Grosmont to Cross Ash (4 miles)


5. Cross Ash castles treasure hunt (1.5 miles)


Parking, refreshments and toilets will be available at the school.


All participants will receive a badge on completion and prizes will be given to the children with the most amount of sponsorship money raised in Grosmont, Whitecastle or Skenfrith castles!
