John’s story
On October 3rd 2025, John Abra, Tom Cope & Andrew Roberts, will be joining another 100 teams in Triumph Cars and attempting to complete the Club Triumph Round Britian Reliability Run (RBRR 2025).
We will be completing the event in John's 53 year old Triumph 2500 Saloon.
We start at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire at 6.00 PM on the 3rd and drive non stop to John O Groats and down to Lands End, arriving back at Knebworth around 6.00 PM on Sunday the 5th. Its 2000 miles in 48 hours in a 53 year old car (no Cruise Control, no Air Con etc). Are we mad? Quite possibly.
Not only is it a challenge for the car, but also the drivers. We take it in turns to drive, navigate and snooze. This challenge takes place evey two years and this year we will be fund raising for Parkinsons Disease UK.
This is the 2nd time Johns Triumph 2500 has taken part in this event, having previously completed it in 2023.
Please donate generously in support of this fantastic charity.
All expenses for fuels, food repairs etc will be fully funded by ourselves, so all your donations go directly to Parkinsons Disease UK.
