Neil’s story
I have a significant birthday this year and as many do, I was wrecking my 'grey matter' as what to do to mark the occasion. The CATZERO Charity was born following the 07/08 Clipper Round The World Yacht Race by Hull & Humber Yacht Skipper Danny Watson. Danny, escaped the challenge of having me as a circumnavigator on his crew, however the race delivered one of the most successful UK Young Adult (NEET) development initiatives specifically in the Humberside community (happy to discuss and talk about it). In the very early stages (some 15 years ago now) I worked with Danny and the CATZERO team through the Fire Service to evolve an idea that is now grown to a phenomenal success. Most of you know that I have a personal focus to support kids and young adults to visualise their potential, to enable them to get the most out of their lives. So what better else thing to do this year than to promote the phenomenal work of CATZERO and to raise funds for them to further evolve the charity, whilst doing a bit of sailing to.......... I will personally cover my costs to compete in the Fastnet 2023 with the team, funds raised on this page will go directly to CATZERO to support their future work,Please, if you were even thinking or considering of buying me a 'half' to celebrate my 21st birthday this year, please add the money here to the fundraising page, trust me, a far better cause than my beer consumption needs :-)
Fundraising Targets
