Chris’s story
Be a part of empowering four university students in Madagascar...
Earlier this year, Annabel and I had the privilege of spending two weeks in Madagascar. During our trip we connected with some wonderful charities, met incredible people, and made friendships that will stay with us for our lives.
Four of the inspiring young people we met are Adelle, Niavo, Tafita and Johany. They all grew up at Le Triomphe Children's Home. Despite facing significant challenges in their lives, each of them has worked incredibly hard to earn a place at university.
They are resilient, determined and full of potential. Yet they still face one major obstacle: they don't have laptops.
The limited funds available at Le Triomphe are understandably needed for essentials such as food, clothing and accommodation. Meanwhile, most of their university classmates have laptops to complete assignments, carry out research and study effectively. Once again, these four remarkable students find themselves at a disadvantage.
We want to change that.
Our goal is to raise enough money to provide four good-quality laptops - one for each student. These laptops will support Adelle, Niavo, Tafita and Johany throughout their university studies and can then be used by others from Le Triomphe who will follow in their footsteps.
Good laptops in Madagascar are expensive, costing around £750 each. That's why I'm taking on this epic running challenge! On Saturday 12th September, I will be running 50km (31 miles) west from Bishop's Park, Fulham, to Runneymede, near Windsor.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a genuine difference. By giving, you'll be helping to equip these students with the tools they need to succeed at university and build brighter futures.
If we raise more than our target, every additional pound will go directly towards the ongoing work of Le Triomphe Children's Home, supporting other children and young people as they grow, learn and thrive.
Thank you so much for considering supporting this challenge. Together, we can help remove this barrier and open the door to opportunities that could change lives for years to come.
