KERRI’s story
The Thundersley Clinic in Essex supports the NELFT CAMHS service for Castle Point & Rochford. The team there are dedicated to providing the best possible environment for our service users, families and employees, offering well rounded therapeutic interventions. The team are looking to take a holistic approach to the outside area of the clinic by adding a therapy garden to the service. The area will be used as an additional therapy room, offering a more sensory/calming environment for interventions, being beneficial for service users with Neuro Diverse diagnoses, offer activities to address gross and fine motor skills as well as group interventions such as DBT and Participation groups. But mainly we want to create a safe space for people to be able to talk, whether that be to a clinician, family member or another service user.
Additional funding is required to ensure we can attain the desired result and therefore we are looking for help from our local community.
Donations to support the garden would be much appreciated as well as any material gifts of kind that may support our project; this could be benches, planters, plants, compost or even just some time of your own to help us set the garden up and keep it maintained!
Please do give kindly to our NHS charity to help us to support our project!
