Faryal’s story
I’m raising money for Carers Trust Solihull (Solihull Carers Centre) through a series of fundraisers, starting with events at work in November. On 2 May 2027, I’ll run the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run Half Marathon.
I’m a carer myself, so I know how much of your time, energy and headspace caring takes up, and how easy it is to put your own needs last. Carers Trust Solihull supports unpaid carers of all ages across the borough, including young carers who are balancing school with caring at home. They offer advice, emotional support and a place where carers feel understood.
There are an estimated 20,000 unpaid carers in Solihull, and many don’t know help is available. Your donation helps the charity reach more of them.
I’m starting the running as a beginner, so 13.1 miles is a real challenge for me. Every pound helps.
