Jess’s story
In two week's time (starting on my 40th birthday!) I am going to try and walk the UK's tallest three mountains, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, in 24 hours with my Dad. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The total driving distance is 462 miles and my sister has very kindly offered to do the driving so we can try and get some sleep between the climbs.
I would like to raise money for Parkinson's as it is a debilitating disease that has affected both my grandfathers. There is no current cure for Parkinson's and it is still not known what causes Parkinson's disease but with more research the hope is that one day a cure will be found. Parkinson's UK is a charity that not only focusses on research to try and find a cure for Parkinson's but also focusses on supporting those diagnosed with Parkinson's.
