Anthony’s story
One Roof Leicester are currently experiencing unprecedented demand for accommodation. The current cost of living crisis and changes in Home Office practices has resulted in many more people finding themselves rough sleeping. This winter we want to help as many people off the streets as possible.
Members of Evington's Faith and Friendship group, Eden Cafe's Knit and Natter group and St Denys Church (even the Vicar!) are busily knitting hats and scarves to give to those who are supported by One Roof Leicester this winter. You can sponsor their efforts and help us to generate funds for their winter campaign. Your generous donation will allow them to provide winter bed spaces and support to help these individuals off the streets and into safe accommodation.
Suggested donations: £5 per hat, £15 per scarf, £20 per hat and scarf set.
As a charity, One Roof support single people - including British nationals, EU migrants and refugees and asylum seekers - experiencing homelessness in Leicester by providing support and accommodation. They are committed to eradicating homelessness, as well as raising awareness within the wider community. ORL currently accommodate 40 single adults in 11 shared houses across the city, including individuals with no recourse to public funds.
