Louise’s story
I joined the wonderful Pink Champagne team in January this year, and already feel the physical and mental health benefits it brings as part of my long term recovery from my cancer diagnosis and treatment three years ago. I never thought I would be paddling up the River Stour at 9am most Saturday mornings, let alone being part of a dragon boat team, but I love it!
On 14th May I will be taking part in a 27 mile dragon boat “paddle” to raise both awareness and funds for my team, Pink Champagne Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Team ????????
Please come along and cheer us on from Christchurch Quay - I will be part of the team for the first half of the day. And if you could sponsor me too that would be great. As for many charities, fundraising has been difficult following Covid. The sport of Dragon Boat Racing provides both physical and mental support to our ladies, following treatment and into recovery, and it is a hugely positive experience and achievement. In these difficult times, please give what you can. Your donations, generosity and support are, as always, greatly appreciated.
Fundraising Targets
All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.
