Jackie’s story
On Saturday 20th of April Lynn, Nichi, Alison and myself will be taking part in the 5k Inflatables challenge in St Albans with some of the other crazy ladies from Fitter Body Ladies Luton and raising money for a wonderful charity Feline Rescue, who rescue and rehome cats and kittens in Luton and the surrounding areas.
The team at Feline Rescue are constantly being asked to help and have had kittens dumped in carrier bags in carparks, pregnant cats that the owners can no longer afford just abandoned, and their latest rescues include a mum and 4 kittens who were found in someone’s garden in a terrible state and poor little Jethro had to have one of his eyes removed.
Feline Rescue rely on fundraising and the generosity of their supporters, along with their amazing team and volunteers and receive no government or local funding at present.
Anything you can spare to help support this amazing charity and help them to keep up their fantastic work is greatly appreciated and if you would like to find out more, rehome a cat or kitten or become a member, please visit Feline Rescue Luton.
Failing that if you just want to see us make wallys of ourselves attempting to run 5K over huge inflatable objects we’ll be posting pictures of the event!!
Thank you in advance and please take a look at some of the gorgeous little fur babies who have already been rehomed and are now safe and loved.
