Natasha’s story

Im skydiving 15,000 feet to raise money to help fund building work at a children's refuge in the shantytown region of Las Laderas, Peru. I’m honestly petrified, but having seen the poverty and need in the local area, and experienced first-hand the positive impact the refuge has on the lives of the children who live there, it will 100% be worth it.
In June, I’m heading to the refuge with 12 colleagues to help with the building work and volunteer in the refuge and nearby soup kitchen.
Amoria Bond has already donated over £11k to get the project started, and together we need to raise another £10.5k to complete the work which will enable the refuge - which is funded entirely by charitable donations - to house more children and young people and create a sustainable positive impact in their lives.
COVID has decimated the region, and the refuge itself sadly lost two amazing staff members to the virus who had been House Mothers for the children for many years. There are more children than ever who are desperately in need of the safety, shelter and love provided by the refuge. And the building work will enable the refuge to not only take more children in, but to keep them safe, house, fed and educated for longer to help break the cycle of poverty.
So, can you help me play my part in making sure this amazing project happens, and be part of something truly awesome that I guarantee will make a difference for years and years to come - not only to the children at the refuge, but also the local community of Las Laderas.
THANK YOU!!
