Rhianne’s story
In honour of my Dad, I’m raising money for Bucket List Wishes, a charity that helps people with terminal illnesses have one meaningful experience with their loved ones, organising the support needed to make it possible.
Earlier this year my Dad was sadly diagnosed with an aggressive liver cancer, with a very short prognosis. His deterioration was incredibly fast, and we lost him as the person we knew in a very short space of time. He is now receiving palliative care and is too unwell at this stage for outings or activities in any capacity.
We had hoped to help him fulfil a bucket list before his condition progressed, but his deterioration happened so quickly that we ran out of time before it was possible.
£2,000 = 1 wish 🧞♂️✨ - a tangible way to see exactly how your donation contributes to helping a family. The charity helps arrange things like transport and practical support, making experiences possible that would otherwise be too difficult for families to organise on their own.
I’ll be running the Birmingham 10k on 3rd May to raise money for this cause.
