Worthing to Zante

This summer as a family we will be walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, paddle boarding 2,063 miles / 3320 kms, which is the equivalent of traveling from Worthing to Zante.Why? I hear you ask! We were incredibly lucky as a family to have been allowed to adopt, the Legend that was Sonic! What he brought to our lives was immeasurable and he broke all the rules and was an integral part of our family.Sonic was rescued by Sue and her team at Healing Paws. It is relentless for them, from climbing down water drains to rescue pups tied up in plastic bags that were left to die, to bottle feeding tiny pups/ kittens so they have a chance of life, to rescuing pup/dogs that are dumped in the mountains with no chance of survival to looking after pregnant dogs and helping them give birth. They have rehomed over 2,000 animals since they startedThey are a family run charity and are solely dependent on donations, so they can feed, pay for vet treatment etc for the animals in their care now and in the future. Plus, they are trying to raise funds to build a proper shelter. As a family we would like to spread the love and raise as much money as we possibly can for Sue and team. We are forever grateful to Sue for trusting a young family to home Sonic. I'm forever grateful as Sonic made our family go out exploring, taught the kids about caring and unconditional love and when a member of your family is poorly you do your best for them.So, in honour of our mud magnet who had selective hearing when he went into hunting mode, we are doing the equivalent of the journey he made by car, boat, train.
