Heather’s story
I’m looking for your help to raise some pennies for a very worthwhile cause. Those of you who know me well will know that I am scared of cycling on the road and at any sort of speed and I’ve never cycled any distance in my life. This means that what I plan to do will be a massive challenge for me and a lovely friend has kindly lent me a bike for the occasion.
In April in a team of 15 like minded individuals I will be cycling approximately 150 miles over 3 days across the country from Whitehaven, Cumbria to Tynemouth, Tyneside. This means I will not only have to conquer my fear of the road and falling off but also train to cycle a lot of hills!! My training starts this week.
The Team Evie Charity supports sick children and their families from diagnosis, to hopefully recovery but in the sad cases, through bereavement support.
