To promote the physical, mental and spiritual welfare of families (especially families who have children with special needs – physical, mental or financial) and enhancement of religion on pilgrimage to the Marian Catholic Shrine in Lourdes by providing for and assisting financially, logistically and otherwise.

Lourdes CAFt Cycle 2022

The Lourdes Children and Families Trust has over 10 years’ experience of supporting families to enjoy pilgrimage holidays to the Catholic Marian Shrine of Lourdes, South West France.

We prioritise the support of families with special needs and enable them to travel as part of a pilgrimage community of families to ensure that we create memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

On 19th July, 12 cyclists will begin a 11 day ride from Manchester, cycling 1,400km to Lourdes.

All cyclists are self-funding, have donated their own time and money to the cause and most will also act as volunteers during the pilgrimage week on arrival.
