Old Hutton School PTA are delighted to be hosting a 100 strong team taking part in the walk from Sandgate to Chapel Island guided by Raymond Peters, of the Guide Over Sands Trust, on Sunday 10th July 2022.
The 4.5-5.5 mile walk over Morecambe Bay and Ulverston Sands really is a unique walk in itself with a visit to the historic Chapel Island.
In the 14th century Augustinian Canons from Conishead Priory built a small chapel on the island to serve the needs of travellers and fishermen. The ruins are still visible to this day.

The PTA work hard to add the little extras to the children's experience of school. From supporting the travel costs for a whole school trip to Brockhole at the end of the summer term to putting on an annual Christmas party … Santa included!
