At 9am on Sunday, 13th July Oxbury Bank colleagues are running the Cheshire 10k to raise money for The Country Trust, Oxbury’s chosen charity of the year.
The Country Trust is the UK’s leading national educational charity which works to connect children from areas of high social and economic disadvantage with the land that sustains us all. Oxbury recognises that supporting the younger generation to gain knowledge and experience will support the long-term outlook of the agricultural industry. If you’d like to read more about their work read here - https://www.oxbury.com/blog/a-day-on-the-farm-with-the-country-trust
With a strong turnout from the work force signed up to participate, each with a broad range of running abilities, some having never run before to others who have previously completed great distances and are looking to improve their times - whatever the reason it’s fantastic they are participating in this team event for a worthwhile cause.
Ash Armstrong, from OPH Optimal Performance and Health and Oxbury’s Health and Wellbeing Officer, will be supporting throughout the course of training by organising group runs, training plans and will be running on the day.
Oxbury will be encouraging this group event by paying each runner’s entry fee, providing an Oxbury branded running top and by donating a bank match in sponsorship of up to the value of £10k.
Good luck everyone!
