Juvenile Arthritis Research's vision is a world where no child has to suffer from arthritis.
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is an autoimmune disorder where the body’s natural defences (designed to stop infections) start to attack the joints in children and young people. This causes inflammation of the joints, leading to pain, discomfort and reduced mobility. Without prompt and effective treatment, this can lead to permanent disability.
We work to find a cure for juvenile idiopathic arthritis, whilst supporting children with JIA and their families, and raising awareness to help improve diagnosis and make societal changes to make life easier for every child with JIA.
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis affects 1 in every 1,000 children under the age of 16.

That’s wonderful. And what did you do with the money? Miriam Hopkins
