BEATS Christmas Appeal 2025. Jane Everard has set herself the target of raising the equivalent of 6 marathons in the west of West Sussex during November and December, in order to raise £3,500 for the final stage of building a Midwifery Clinic on Nias Island, Indonesia. Following the building project, necessary equipment will be purchased, such as tongs (~£1.25) or a birthing bed (~£140.00). BEATS have a qualified midwife living nearby who is ready to register as the official midwife in this Nias area which has no midwifery clinic. Nias Island has a high mortality rate for mums and babies, so many lives will be saved and people helped in the years to come. Thank you for supporting this campaign and please say a prayer for Jane as she endeavours to complete this amazing challenge. As of 8/12/25 this appeal has raised £2,112 (including online, offline and tax reclaim donations).
